Here is a list of local Easter Egg Hunts in Charlottesville for 2022.


2018 Easter egg hunt on UVA's campus

Weekend of April 2-3

Greene County Parks and Recreation is hosting its annual GCPR Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM at Greene County Community Park. All children crawling- 5th grade are welcome to attend. Children will be separated by ages. Event is free. Find more details about the GCPR Eggstravaganza here.


Weekend of April 9-10

Charlottesville Parks and Recreation is hosting its annual "Eggstravaganza" on Saturday, April 9th promptly at 10:00 AM at Charlottesville High School. The event features crafts, activities, and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny. Children ages 12 and under will be divided on fields by ages 1-3, 4-7, and 8-12. Event is free. Dairy Market will host an Easter egg hunt featuring the Easter Bunny on Saturday, April 9, from 11 am-2pm.


Hazy Mountain Vineyard will host an Easter Party on Saturday, April 9th, 11 am-3 pm. Children should bring their baskets to "hunt" for surprises as they explore the grounds and visit local vendor tables. Parents can sip some wine and listen to local musicians while children have fun crafting, playing and joining in on various activities. Dress your best! Honah Lee Vineyard in Gordonsville will host an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, April 10th from 2-5pm. Find more information here.


Blue Toad Hard Cider will host an Easter Egg Hunt and Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, April 10th, 10 am-5 pm. Our Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Pancake Breakfast. Wander the grounds of our 27acre farm searching for treats left behind by the legendary Easter Bunny! Weekend of April 16-17


Fluvanna County Parks and Recreation will host a Free Easter Egg Hunt for children 12 and under at Pleasant Grove Park Saturday, April 16, promptly at 10 am.


Carter Mountain will bring back its treasured Eggstravaganza after a covid-induced hiatus on Saturday, April 16, from 10 am-3pm. Special events will include face painting, cotton candy, crafts, photo ops with the Easter Bunny, and hayrides.

Hop into Spring at Chiles Peach Orchard will be back on Saturday, April 16 from 10am - 4 pm. Children ages 2-10 are invited to attend an Easter egg roll, sugar cookie decorating, bunny crafts, Easter Bunny photo ops and more. Tickets are $10 and will be available onsite for purchase.




Waynesboro Parks and Rec and New Valley church will host an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 16th at 10am at Ridgeview Park in Waynesboro. There will be three age groups with staggered hunting times as follows: 0-2 at 10:00 am, 3-4 year olds at 10:10 am, and 5-8 year olds at 10:20 am. Event is free.


Crozet Baptist Church is hosting a community Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April, 16th at 11am-noon. Event is free.


Bold Rock Hard Cider in Nellysford will host an egg hunt on Saturday, April 16th at 11 am. There will live music, games, and an Easter egg hunt in the Meadow. Kids egg hunt is at 11 am, cost is $6/person. Two adult egg hunts will be at 1 pm and 4 pm, cost is $10/person. Find more information and tickets here.


Pro Re Nata in Crozet will host a Hoppy Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 16th at 11 am. This 500+ egg hunt will also feature 5 Golden eggs for parents.


The Shops at Stonefield will host an Egg Hunt with over 15,000 eggs on Saturday, April 16, from 1 pm - 3 pm. This event is free and will feature a bouncy house, face painting, and story time.


Cunningham Creek Winery will host the Easter Bunny on Sunday, April 17 from 1pm-4pm. Easter Bunny is fully vaccinated and open for take-your-own pictures. No charge and no reservations.
